Most people who know me, appreciate my quirkiness and inability to keep still, I'm known as a doer and I like that, I'm happy taking on challenges and going with it even if they can be more trouble than I anticipated 😂
So, moving on to my next challenge...
After handing over the Wrap and Go and realising the company had no intention of using it (they shelved it). Not the result I wanted but you have to adjust and learn form it, my patent attorney had warned me they might do that but the company had assured me they wouldn't shelve it (of course they would 🙄) anyway, thankfully I had my hands full with two kids and plenty of time to devote to them.
When my son was about three years old I decided to join a photography society and move over to digital photography rather than film (I still miss the magic of film), but after a couple of years I was asked to be the President of the club and set about making some changes to bring it into the social media age.
I began selling my photography work in a local artisan gift shop and was approached by another creative to open our own shop, I agreed, albeit cautiously but as we were planning it I had to have an unplanned hysterectomy.
There were complications and unfortunately while on a trolley waiting in a&e for treatment my prospective partner decided she couldn't cope with the stress and bailed, not wanting to let down the 24 artists and designers we had lined up to sell their work within the shop I ploughed on and opened the shop, fully fitted, legal papers and contracts signed, eight weeks after my operation 😳.
Looking back it probably wasn't my best decision but I loved every minute of having the shop, I launched it with my daughters University band playing live music in the shop window, set up a knitting group and partnered with Solihull Bid to yarn bomb the town centre.
As I said I'm known as a doer 😂
From the brief synopsis I hope you can see how varied my design/creative experience and skills are and how I can help you with your journey.
Get in touch for more information about the course and what it has to offer I'm looking to hearing from you.
